Labor day - Tanzania

A trip to the field with SIC
It’s Labor Day in Tanzania so we thought it would be fitting to take the day to report from one of our Tanzanian’s beneficiaries, Support for International Change (SIC).
SIC is based in north-eastern Tanzania and provides several villages with HIV/AIDS services that would otherwise not be reached. Here’s a quick snapshot of their work in the field.

Since the New Year, SIC has been hard at work in Leguruki, the furthest village of Mirririni. SIC’s Community HealthCare Worker (CHW) program has helped to ensure patients receive help and medicine when they fall ill. Lucy, SIC’s Field Officer for that area spent endless hours ensuring patients were dealt with in a timely manner.
SIC has also been using soccer tournaments to encourage villagers to get tested and know their HIV status. In January, they were able to test over 70 villagers, mostly youth, during one match!
Well done SIC!
